Beyond Reupholstery

Detailed Revival for Antique and Modern Furniture

Loose joints, broken springs, sun-faded veneer? Our trained conservators evaluate each piece: we inspect the original joinery, determine period-specific building technique, and then initiate a reversible remake. We combine traditional workshop discipline with modern comfort foams.

From overstuffed lounges to winged-back dining chairs, we handle any upholstery challenge. Complete fabric top runs to hand-tufted leather panels, our finished piece is made structurally sturdier and yet preserves its original character.

Structural Frame Rebuilding

We repair splintered rails, re-glue dovetailed corners and screw-in metal chevron brackets to prevent future racking. We also reinforce sagging seats with new torsion springs or no-sag webbing.

Dust-Free Foam Replacement

We use certified high-density polyurethane, memory foam blends or even natural coconut and horsehair options. All foams are cut with water-jet pattern templates for a perfect fit.

Design Curated Fabric Gallery

We partner with leading Australian and European mills to offer 400+ indoor/outdoor fabric patterns, leather hides, velvet, linen and stain-resistant textures. You'll receive a curated folder based on your light conditions.

Revival in Hands

Our Restoration Craft Standards

Emphasis on 'do no harm' means we preserve original firegilded surfaces or original patina where possible. Only when finishes are beyond repair we produce matching-aged patina using specialty lacquers and dyes.

We refuse to hide poor work under fabric. Every restored frame is stamp-signed by the restorer, and a restoration record is handed over so future generations will know exactly what was done.

Upholstery Webbing System

We use jute or polypropylene webbing that’s pre-stretched 5% to allow correct give; no staples are visible on the exterior.

Elevare Process

Our Process

01
Furniture Consultation & Free Triage

Bring the item to our showroom or send hi-res photos from home. We identify structural faults, woodworm risk, frame joints, and the best recovery path.

02
Deep Conservation Assessment

Inside-out inspection: we remove as little as possible first. Cords, springs, old stuffing layers are catalogued for authenticity, then we capture pre-restoration images.

03
Client Design Appointment

We select fabrics, foams, decorative trim and leg/bun finishing options. You leave with a full quote, expected timeline and an approximate fabric cut-list.

04
Frame Surgical Repair & Prep

We fuse old joints using hide glues, insert butterfly fixations, strip old paint only if necessary and polish all accessible timber components.

05
Upholstery Rebuild Process

New webbing or springs attached, seat and back fillings wrapped in muslin, then the exact fabric cushion is tailored and clouted with blind stitches.

06
Final Hand Finishing & Studio QA

Our finisher polishes wood, adds protective coating, steaming out wrinkles or trimming edges. After quality checks, we wrap in white cotton and deliver curbside.

Have Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, we offer a no-cost visual assessment. If we discover extensive internal rot or insect damage during work that may affect the result, we pause and send you a new revised quote for approval before continuing.

Absolutely. We regularly use customer-premium outdoor fabrics or vintage silk if they meet abrasion resistance ratings. We advise you of fabric consumption before you purchase.

We do not repair severely compromised bentwood laminates with unexplained brittle cracks, or mould-infested pieces where toxins may release. But we can suggest decontamination specialists.

If we detect active exit holes, we inject a deep-freeze or borate solution into leg channels, leave it curing for up to three weeks, then treat visually and patch. All our restoration warranties do not cover naturally recurring insect migrations after the process.
